Electronically made birthday cards are coming your way in a big way, and the British brand Altex Electronics is taking advantage of that trend with the Electronica series of cards.
This is the first time they’ve used the word ‘electronica’ in a product description.
Altex has created a line of magnetic card-sized electronic birthday sets based on their latest generation of ECC chips, and they are now selling in a range of retailers around the UK, including shops such as Ikea, and online.
Altecs new ECC chip-based cards have a metal plate that can be flipped over to reveal a special electronic birthday logo.
The company is currently working on a second generation of the card that is more transparent, and there is an option for a magnetic card to be printed in black ink, which is an alternative to paper.
AlTecs cards are a bit cheaper than a traditional paper card, at £5 for a single pack.
They also come in an array of colours that can include black, green, red and blue.
Electronic birthday packs are available for £8.99 each at Altex.co.uk, which also sells Altex Cards for $9.99 and Altex ECC Card Sets for $14.99.
